Corporate Social Responsibility (Englishen_US)
Corporate social responsibility, or “corporate citizenship,” is a form of self-regulation by which firms engage in practices that ameliorate the effect of its activities on the environment and/or social welfare. It can be limited to compliance with legal, international, or ethical standards (“the spirit of the law”), or can act as an institutional conscience whereby the firms acts directly to create a positive impact on the environment, consumers, employees, stakeholders, and other members of the public. This eShop collection explores the theory and practice of sustainable, responsible business. The contents lend themselves well to speaker programs featuring business leaders, as well as programs of any type dealing with environmental solutions, civic activism, and social justice.
